In general terms, what was done to build the UberPath? Avatars, Seqs, and related Textures Avatars originally from the Homepages were renamed to conform in part to a naming convention used in the MegaPath, using the form of avX_YY_filename, where X is the gender (F, M or N) and YY is the 2-letter code (explained further down in models) for the HomePage theme from which that avatar comes. Textures for avatars were left as is, so the only changes with avatar files were the file names. Sequences were left as a collective pool and not prefixed. The avatars.dat was then reorganized a bit to include group headers and to put the non-modern avatars in a more 'historical' order after the modern ones. The groups are as follows: Tourist Avatars (no group header), Traditional Avatars (those from the AW set), Modern Avatars (from Contemporary and Gallery themes), Business Avatars, Classroom Avatars (those not part of Business theme), Extra Avatars (3 that were special on MegaPath), Nature Avatars (including the distinct Winter style avatars), Atlantis Avatars, Egypt Avatars, Roman Avatars, Fantasy Avatars, Toon Avatars (the colored ones, not the grey style monochrome ones though they are included as files), Western Avatars, Sci-Fi Avatars, and finally Droid Avatars (the 10 robot/droid avatars from the Sci-Fi theme). Note that Atlantis, Toon and Droid avatars do not have the extra sequences refered to earlier, and many of the Droid sequences do not appear to work at this time. The droid sequences may be looked into at a later time. Lastly, all the Avatars files are included in the models folder in a subfolder called AV. This allows for a much shorter and simpler method of using the avatars as models, short of including them in the models directly. Therefore, instead of '../avatars/cedric.rwx' the object would be 'av/cedric.rwx'. Models and related Textures The MegaPath is of course the base starting point for the models and model textures. The only textures attended to initially were those zipped masks that were bad or passworded. Those were replaced where possible or removed where not. The massive number of passworded models were removed with a few actually replaced with non-passworded ones. Bad models where the zip file was corrupted or the textures could not be replaced were removed. Lastly all prefixed HomePage models (in the form xx-modelname) were removed to be replaced later in the process. Next the AW download set models and textures were copied over the MegaPath models and textures to restore the original Alpha World models that were lost in the MegaPath. Most additional models and textures that have been added to the AW object path were also added, including the prims, coronapac, particlepac and a number of others. Some AW path additions may be added at a later time. HomePage sets that replace the original MegaPath prefixed models are far more extensive in preparation. A quick note, the Educational Gallery and the DirtCity themes are not included, as the Educational Gallery duplicates the Gallery theme and DirtCity is entirely passworded. First all the models and textures files were renamed with a 2-letter prefix. The form of xx-modelname and xx_texturename was used across all HomePage themes and styles included. Once the files were all renamed, all of the models were edited using a special program to rename the textures and masks internally to match the now prefixed texture files. Next certain very common models and related textures were separated to their own special prefix group and removed from the others. All the holiday models and textures were moved to their own prefix group as well. The common and holiday group items are given in the details pages. A number of invisible objects in several of the theme-styles were removed as unneeded outside the old HomePage creator system. Within each theme, models common to all styles within that theme were removed from the alternate styles. In some styles, some models were kept for build set completeness. Unneeded textures were removed from the alternate styles as well, though main styles were kept complete. The theme Toon Grey is fully complete including the HomePage Common objects, as it is a totally colorless (monochrome) style and all textures are in shades of grey. HomePage models, textures, and sounds all begin with a 2-letter prefix, and the avatars second prefix part uses the same 2-letter designation. The HomePage 2-letter codes are given in the details pages. There are some non-prefixed HomePage models that are present that may yet need to be fixed. They may eventually be replaced with the prefixed versions because of badly mismatched textures. These will be identified and corrected along the way. Additionally, there are a number of models that have a suffix of _k added on the file name. These models are modifications created by me (Karten) to fill perceived needs in some sets. Most of the models are AW roads, ct-roads, and sf- and sg- building sections, with a few others for other HomePage sets.
